Against All Odds

Tinyc So today, I officially finished Limbus.

I have every piece of AF+1 I want, only lacking a Boxer's Mantle, which can be "purchased," and, as of 8:45 this evening, I have completed the Homam Corazza set (Or at least the pieces that count for me):

How nice to only have to worry about purchasables and Dynamis drops from now on. I feel freer now to have fun, level up, do small events and help out my friends. Maybe I'll do some sky for a Genbu's Shield or something; I am interested in these Fay weapons everyone's raving about.

A huge, huge "Thank You" to Aydindril and Roc Dynasty for helping me out with this. Your PR people are excellent! Enjoy the two Magenta Chips, the 11 Ancient Beastcoins, and the Clot Plasma! :3

Congratulations on your new hands, but I won't lie; I'm slightly bitter that Hephaestus's final Omega set was handled in such a manner. Sure our options were limited, but they weren't necessarily non-existent. Just because a few people got upset at Hephaestus's pending death doesn't mean no one wanted to benefit from that set.

Meh, perhaps it's just me. I guess I should really let go.

No one would merc an Omega set for more than 1 piece of equipment--not even Stew.

I tried to make arrangements, especially for Night's sake, but thankfully, RD will take her under their wing. That and the legs didn't even drop, so no bad blood there, I hope.

Just curious, where was the rest of 'Hephaestus' during all of this? It's been at least 2 weeks.

The only 'member' who contacted me regarding the Omega set was Stanislaus, and he was a member for one run with us.

Pending death? I'm pretty sure Falk deleting the forums and not telling the present members she was breaking the shell qualifies as a death of a linkshell group.

And I did offer my assistance to Ere to help kill his set, but he went without me, which is fine. And you know what, I'm happy as hell for him getting his hands.

He busted his ass of for Heph, and this is how you thank him Aro? You should be congratulating him on his wonderful hands.

Actually, I'll just say that this is Megas; Aro almost never uses this account for anything <_<

To Eremes, you're right that anyone that actually wanted something done with that Omega set should have contacted you or myself, but then again some people didn't even know we were sitting on a full Omega set, though I think it was announced at some point before the linkshell's death that we had a full set. I, for one, wanted to be part of the fight, though I would have been satisfied in just knowing what the fate of that Omega set would be. In retrospect, you're not the only person to blame though; if I wanted results, I should have acted.

To Firewall, Hephaestus's death was supposed to be pending because Falkinn announced to Eremes and I that she was going to quit FFXI soon and she wanted to at least get in one more Omega run (the set that Eremes was holding) before leaving. However, when word of this got out, some people overreacted and things just sort of fell apart from there. Why Falkinn broke the linkshell and deleted the forums the day after is beyond me. Hephaestus's death at the time of her announcement was not supposed to be for at least another week, but its life was cut short significantly. I had changed the linkshell message and wanted to keep it changed until at least our next scheduled run so people could see that the linkshell had pretty much expired, but it didn't happen for whatever reason.

We all busted our asses, Firewall, some more so than others. I don't need anything from Omega so this development doesn't faze me too much, but I at least wanted to be a part of Hephaestus's last Omega, even if my part simply included being told what would be done with it in advance. It's more symbolic to me than anything I suppose.
