A Moogle Kupo d'Etat

TinycSTR +4 Weaponskill Accuracy +15
Accuracy +10 Attack +5

K, first of all, so the heavy armor jobs and the mages get cute, kitchy FF3 knockoffs, and what do the light DD's get? A freaking salade... GJ, SE.

Anyway, there's a bunch of augments that look attractive this time around, but the pet augments are decidedly not really worth it for PUP if you ask me. (Haste? Isn't that what I spent 500k on a Turbo Charger for...?) Rather, the pet augments look pretty sweet for BST. Regen and -10% damage would make CourierCarrie pretty bad ass.

That being said, STR, WS Acc, Acc and Attack are all nice for PUP full time and BLU WS or spell casting. I could make a STR +6, or a VIT/STR+4 for Cannonball, or even a mini Askar helm with +4% Haste and +2 STR/DEX, but I don't want to try to make a spell casting piece for BLU because, once more, this slot already has Blue Magic skill on it (relic head).

I wonder what slot Shantotto's Ascension is going to take?

You idiot, the Haste would stack. +5% Haste is quite nice for Valoredge, which excels at longer fights where Haste becomes even more powerful. Of course, it benefits the others as well, albeit to a lesser extent.

Haste has accelerating returns, making this complement Turbo Charger, not undermine it.

Yeah, if you happen to use Valoredge...

Ranged Attacks aren't affected by Haste, and I'd rather not waste Maneuvers to speed up the recasts of Tier IV magic when I could be putting them towards Ice Maneuvers for crucial magic accuracy and magic attack bonus.

Therefore, you're looking at 5% (8 with Pantin Dastanas) without Maneuvers. Hardly worth wasting the benefits to your DPS on other DD jobs that you could get with other augments. No, I am not a career PUP; if you didn't notice, this blog is called "BLU Affinity."

Haste +5% to beef up a frame whose utility is completely eclipsed by the other two frames is useless to me.

Dear lordofcicadas,

Pro tip: Don't insult people before giving them retarded advice which makes you look like the "Idiot".

Carrying on from your clearly uneducated point of view; 5% Haste (or even 8% w/ Relic hands) is absolute FUCKING GARBAGE in comparison to the other things you could give your automaton.

And which "Longer fights" are these that a PUP would be dumb enough to use a melee frame Vs. either an Infinite Cure bot or a Tire IV nuking powerhouse.

Also take note my PUP is 0 and I can figure this shit out.

It is you sir, who are the idiot.

Also if you're from Siren Unanon and send me a /tell any time. I would be happy to discuss this with you in a more civilized manner.

Longer fights, such as Kirin, Ultima, and Jailer of Love, are all places where the Valoredge Frame does extraordinarily well, eclipsing the other frames.

"Ranged Attacks aren't affected by Haste, and I'd rather not waste Maneuvers to speed up the recasts of Tier IV magic when I could be putting them towards Ice Maneuvers for crucial magic accuracy and magic attack bonus."

1) The Sharpshot gains a good portion of its TP through melee attacks.

2) Well, actually Turbo Charger only affects melee attack speed, period. So yes, those winds would be a total waste.

That's where usefulness of this augment comes in- to ensure that Spiritreaver uses Blizzard IV every time, rather than needing to alternate.

However, obviously Valoredge is the one that benefits most. 5%+5%+3%= 13% Haste. If you were to put wind maneuvers, obviously it would be even more.

If you want to use the salade on your other jobs, that's your own business, but to call the 5% augment not worth it for a PUP is absurd, particularly in light of the Turbo Charger.

From the Jailer of Love page on wiki:
"Concussive Oscillation - Smacks around all nearby targets. Additional effect: Knockback & Weight
Primal Drill - Drills into nearby targets with appendages. Additional effect: Bind
Luminous Drape - A glowing curtain Charms all nearby targets
Ion Shower - AoE damage and Stun, strips Utsusemi"

You'd have to be spamming Earth Maneuvers and Automaton Oil to barely keep your pet alive, and I'd honestly love to see the Linkshell that wouldn't mind an Automaton DDing Jailer of Love. Given JoL's repertoire of TP moves, there's no amount of Subtle Blow in the world that would make that feasible, at least not on Siren.

Ultima is another great example. Why on would you choose Valoredge over Stormwaker or Sharpshot? Particle Shield? Ok, use Sharpshot. It offers good physical damage without having to get in close and getting hit with AoE TP moves.

The benefit of Sharpshot is that it has... Ranged Attack, so it's moot that you can haste its close-range melee; you keep it at a distance for anything remotely powerful with access to AoE TP moves anyway.

I personally think to make Valoredge (or Sharpshot) a little faster in more casual contexts isn't worth the benefits you could be getting to Stringing Pummel, your DPS, and even your other DD jobs.

Your pet has Attachments and Maneuvers to make it stronger (which was the point of my comment in the first place); the master has only gear and merits to fall back on.

Oh wow I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Thank you good sir for the lulz.

And since you never addressed my first response, I see no need to continue proving my point.

Your PUP is level 0. I see no need to address any of your points.
