Where on Vana'diel - This is more of a little game I'll start playing; I've noticed there are many barren, uncharted areas in FFXI that are actually pretty impressive to look at. You guys can take stabs at where I've decided to visit. :)

Sarameya Redux, Bahamut v1

Dear all,

Sucky news.

I failed one of my three new assaults for the week, which pushes back Perdu another week.

Our ZNMLS tried Sarameya again today. Ironically, this time, it was handled relatively better. We may have actually killed Sarameya this time, but it was a hollow victory. Absolutely nothing gained but negative 6,000 buffer exp. I didn't even get a chance to pull off semi-decent Cannonballs; no buffs, no Paralyna, no raises, no nothing. I don't even know why I came. I might have gotten 2k damage in the whole fight.

Who's that Pokémon?

Sarameya, Round 1

So, my ZNMLS decided to tackle Sarameya, a Tier IV ZNM. Mostly disappointing, but I did manage to set a personal record:



That was without BRD songs or Azure Lore active. I'd like to get my hands on a Jagdplaute +1. Other than the Mirage Keffiyeh +1 and Magus Jubbah +1, that would be the only piece I could use to improve my build (other than Acheron +1, but 1 def can bite me).

Moblin Maze Mongers

So I'm only missing three runes for my Koggelmander Maze Tabula! Incidentally, Supreme Might is the only one I can't purchase with Moblin Marbles.

Before They Were Famous

Due to a combination of boredom, bedridden-ness, need for Imperial Standing and Imperial Standing related items, and downright curiosity, I decided to take Aydindril's advice and work on the Aht Urhgan Generals questline.

I gotta say, these quests are pretty neat, and they increase in neatness as you go along. By the end of the questline, I thought I was watching Wings of the Goddess cutscenes. As such, Rughadjeen, Najelith, and Zazarg get less-than-stellar, albeit interesting, cutscenes devoted to them. In particular, Rughadjeen's story did next to nothing for me.
