What a hilarious evening we had in Central Temenos.
Today was our first Proto-Ultima. As many of you know, Proto-Ultima is a hell of a lot harder than Proto-Omega. There's a reason why they give you an extra thirty minutes to kill this thing.
Regardless, we did an excellent job today. A lot of us had either never done Proto-Ultima, or had been severely out of practice, and we came through any way.
Today's star was Stewie! While everyone did an excellent job, I'm amazed at how well the Ninjar tanked and endured the onslaught.
Have you spent sleepless nights pondering the great mystery of why it is that people hate Blue Mages? You, my friend, are not alone. Many of us have taken a liking to the curious cerulean assassins of the near east, but have been shunned, turned away, ridiculed. Why, we ask, why?
I could think of no better example than a one "Ms. M." on our very own Siren server. Perhaps the kitty White Mage needed a few more thousand experience to cap her next merit, or perhaps Ms. M., like many of us, finds trouble getting merit party invites as a Blue Mage. There is the third, equally likely contingency that Ms. M. has no idea what the hell she's doing.
I'm sure all of you have heard the glorious news, but for those of you who haven't, Square-Enix's development team unveiled today the "WHM Job Ability" that people had been whispering about since Fanfest. Am I ever glad I didn't give up on this job.

Not going to lie; I've actually never seen that movie. I just have this thing against Angelina Jolie as a blonde. She's too... "exotic"-looking to pull off golden curls. I'm also not very fond of her as an actress, but I have heard good things about Changeling.
So I've been gone for about a week. I've gotten on for a little while here 'n' there to hunt for maps. Now that I'm actually close to 79/79, I'm enraptured with map quests.
Huge, huge thanks to Firewall for playing as me for ZNMs and snagging me the Blood Ring and Coiler. Figures I'd go 1/1 on the drops I need when I'm being played vicariously.
I'm still going to try to top off my maps, but I'm going to be sulking a bit these next few days.
